Announcements:

  • Genius technology now applied to App Store. Recommendations of new apps based on what you have purchased before
  • iPhone OS 3.1 available for download today and is free for iPhone owners. It is also free for iPod Touch users with 3.0 firmware installed. iPod Touch users with older software must pay $4.95 for the update, but it includes all previous software updates as well.
  • 30 million iPhones sold to date in two years
  • 1.8 billion apps sold

  • More than 75,000 apps available at the App Store
  • More than 30,000 ringtones added to iTunes Store for $1.29 US each.
  • iTunes 9: rearrange apps, improved syncing, home sharing to manage copying of songs and TV shows to up to five computers in your house, cleaner interface, genius mixes, easier store navigation and browsing, iTunes LP(allows you to download a digital version of specific albums with animations, videos, and other visual items), previews of any song, album, TV show, or movie from the Apple Store.
  • Video cameras coming to iPod Nano(Includes a speaker, FM tuner, and built in pedometer for Nike+ and larger 2.2 inch display)


Here is a video of the beginning of the event in which Steve Jobs, looking noticeably thinner and gaunt, talks about his health problems and praises the efforts of Tim Cook and other Apple executives for keeping the company running strong during his absence.

    He is very positive & creative.
    He is a man struggling for health,welth & prosperity.
