Command & Conquer: Red Alert for the iPhone is Now Available

Electronic Art’s much anticipated RTS classic Command & Conquer: Red Alert arrived at the App Store today, retailing for $9.99. A lot of questions were raised prior to its release regarding the game’s controls on a touch screen device. Based on early App Store reviews averaging at 4 and 1/2 stars, the issue does not appear to be a concern.

I admit. I’m no fan of puzzle games. Frustration and ill-conceived strategy planning are the main culprits that drive me far away whenever someone offers to play a game of chess or checkers. Seeing MetaSquares on sale at BargainBin recently, I decided to pick up the game based on it’s 4 1/2 star rating, risk-free cost, and numerous good reviews. After spending a significant amount of time with the game now, I am happy to have gotten the game.

Empire Total War? What the hell? Didn’t this game come out like a year ago or something? Let me check…March 3, 2009! Whoa! This game must be twenty bucks by now, right? Let me check…No way! Fifty bucks still! Wake me up again in another 199 days. At LonePlacebo, you see, a game review is never to late. Tetris, anyone?
